Supervision for psychotherapists and psychoanalysts
I offer clinical supervision for psychotherapists from most ‘depth’ orientated modalities of therapy, and for others, such as those working in the wider field of mental health where understanding of their patients is of paramount importance, and the practitioner wishes to develop their clinical practice with respect to psychoanalytic ideas. I support trainees and more advanced practitioners in reflective thinking, finding creative solutions to clinical issues, overcoming impasses in the therapeutic relationship, and the broader questions of therapeutic engagement and work.
A Lacanian approach to supervision offers a creative space for thought and reflection, where clinical issues can be discussed in confidence and with candour. It is a form of supervision which is orientated and sustained by the questions which the supervisee brings concerning their ongoing clinical work with their patients, their ethical stance within the treatment, and their personal style as a therapist.
I offer supervision on a weekly, fortnightly or monthly basis, depending on the regularity requested by, and requirements, of the supervisee.
My standard fee for clinical supervision is £75 per session, however reductions can be considered for trainees and those on lower incomes.
